SUPPORT OF MUSLIM CALIPHS TOWARDS EDUCATION DURING GOLDEN ERA OF SPAIN

Abstract

Golden Era of Spain was noticeable in the history due to its educational development, flourished in economics, advance social societies, and the impacts of these educational developments in Spain were marvelous, they developed the country in all field of life. Caliphs supported the educational activities during Golden Era of Spain; they reward scholars in return of their efforts. In Golden Era of Spain beautiful buildings has been built, beautiful gardens, hospitals, bridges, clean roads, development in sciences made people's life easy, they access good health, education and all basic necessities of life at their door step. The study raised specific question: Did Muslim Caliphs supported the education during Golden Era of Spain? This question was evaluated with the help of credible and authentic books. Through investigation it was found that Islamic philosophy of education was motivated Muslims during their Era in Spain, because in Islam there has an emphasis on value of knowledge. Allah has clearly tells the mankind that acquire knowledge with your heart and soul because it leads you towards the right path and restrict form wrong path and gives success. That's why Muslim Caliphs always supported the educational activities during Golden Era of Spain and through their encouraging attitude for the education, Spain had seen a marvellous Golden Era in history
