EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF BAGHDAD A HISTORICAL VIEW
Abstract
When I was writing this article I was in the numerous little shocks after reading the early Muslim History. Being a Muslim I was still not aware about the facts of Majestic Educational Activities of Baghdad (The capital city of Iraq). The city was founded by Al Mansur (the second succesor of Abbasids Reign) under the supervision of Abdullah Ibn e Al Saffah (the founder and first sucessor of Abbasids Reign). Mansur basically established a city for educational promotions and purposes, it has the value among the students as right now we have in Harward or Oxford University. There were diversified programs of studies and Activities followed by the students, teachers and researchers. The Quranic translations in other languages, the study of hadith, the Arabic Grammar and compostions and all stuff related to Arabic was accompanied by the people of Baghdad who left their native countries for the sake of educational promotions. I also saw a number of research studies on the field of medicine, linguistics specially the most ancient persian, sanskrit, Hebrew etc, scripts, the chemical industries, the agriculture studies Academy and the Music Academy all sort of world's studies were found in that single city, but unfortunately the city lost its dignity and ruined by Mongols and Tataars that became the biggest loss for Muslim society. So in this article we will be able to know about the facts and history of Baghdad's Educational Activities led by Muslim as well as nonmuslims and their results.
