Abstract
Human milk is important for child development, and breastfeeding has benefits for both child and mother. Fresh milk, especially from chest feeding, is ideal. However, some conditions may prevent mothers from feeding, and milk banks are often seen as an option. This study aims to examine the consequences of milk banks and formulate recommendations. This analytical study draws on medical research articles, religious literature, and logical reasoning. The analysis reveals several negative aspects of milk banks, including medical, ethical (particularly in the context of Islamic jurisprudence), psychological, emotional, spiritual, social, administrative, and financial consequences. Based on these findings, recommendations are formulated for birth mother preparation to feed and alternatives to milk banks, incorporating Islamic social systems and the "Rabta for Raza'ah" service.
