THE CONCEPT OF ABILITY IN ISLAM A STUDY

Abstract

The Importance of Ability is particular in the political system of Islam. No state can be run by incompetent people. The Qur'an calls each post a trust and orders that the trust be entrusted to those who are entitled to it. Islam speaks of merit: If we ignore merit, it will be oppressive, which is anti-justice. The Qur'an has ordered the believers to act in justice. In this article author proved from the verses of The Holy Quran & Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), the importance of ability/merit for any position which is compulsory. The author also identified in this article, the irregularities in society. He mentioned that it is not a bad thing to give a post to a relative, or a friend if he/she qualifies for that position. The wrong thing is to give responsibility to a person or give a position that does not qualify him.
