Abstract

It is human nature that one can't remain uninfluenced by the extraordinary events taking place around oneself. Islam is a religion based on nature. This is the reason that Allah almighty bestowed miracle to Prophets as a proof of prophet hood. Allah almighty bestowed miracles to Prophet Muhammad The greatest intellectual miracle that was given to Prophet Muhammad is Holy Quran. Contemporary world is highly materialistic. Orientalists from the western world are investigating miracles on a scientific basis and are spending billions of dollars on the research. While in the Muslim world there are unauthentic traditions about the miracles of the Prophet that have gained permanent status. These unauthentic traditions have become a part of religion and it is bringing people close to heresy. In this research article an effort has been made to highlight the reality of the miracles under the light of authentic traditions. Moreover unauthentic traditions have been mentioned and it is hoped that this research article will serve to clarify the difference between authentic and unauthentic traditions
