A REVIEW OF GHAZWA-e-BADAR IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF EVENTS, LEGISLATIVE COMMANDS AND LESSONS LRARNED

Abstract

In the current study, the first ghazwa of Islam that is Ghazwa-e-Badr is discussed and analyzed. All aspects including the reason, time line, number of soldiers, significant events and the lessons which can be learned from this important ghazwa are discussed in sufficient details. This ghazwa is very significant in one aspect which was very important in those days of man to man battle, that is the number of soldiers which used to be decisive in that era, was totally in the favor of Kuffars. The weapons of Kuffar were also much better than Muslims, yet the victory was Muslim's'. The strategy of Muslims was much better than the kuffars. Their intelligence system was proactive. The significance of consultation with the experts was also there. Although the means were employed but the final dependence was on Allah s.w.t and the prophet kept praying while crying for long period of time until Allah s.w.t helped by angels and the war was won. The lessons which should be learnt from this war are discussed in the current paper.
